The Untouchables

The Mexican Federal Authorities have conducted important investigations of their own already that reveal who the killers are. Among those held responsible are five men from Juárez and one from Tijuana, who get together and kill women in what can only be described as blood sport. It has been discovered that the men revealed in those investigations are very important people. Some of those allegedly involved and named as killers are prominent men with important political connections. This group of men exercise their power through their wealth and prominent position in society and are therefore considered untouchables. It has also been discovered that the six men named as killers have ties to drug trafficking.

This should come as no surprise in a city like Juárez, which is owned by the cartels and everything has a tie to their money laundering. In a city like Juárez where there seems to be no difference between the cartels and the police, the connections to the government only help to further amplify their access and power. The Untouchables use their money and connections to spare them from prosecution, which is repeatedly seen with the elongated judicial proceedings against the alleged suspects held in custody. Thus, leaving very little hope for justice for the women murdered in Ciudad Juárez.
